The Locanda is located 10 meters away from the historical centre of Vigevano (Pedestrian Zone), with no car access restrictions during weekends and holidays. Touch the yellow points to easily identify everything is located within walking distance from us. Starting with the San Francesco Church, built in 1379 by the “Minori” Friars, to the XV century Church of St. Peter Martyr, where rests the body of Beato Matteo Carreri, the city’s patron saint. It’s not difficult to spot the Piazza Ducale, bulit in 1494 by Ludovico il Moro to serve as an elegant entrance to the Castle, soon to become the Ducal Palace. The Castle is one of the largest in Europe: its extension is twice the size of Buckingham Palace, three times the size of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Roma and six times the size of the Duomo in Milano.  Continue the discovery with the Covered Road, a unique and one of the finest examples of military engineering, the Stables, the Shoe Museum, the Picture Gallery and the other attractions of the historical centre.
